• Is this mystery rock a dinosaur or just a hoax?

Fisherman in Siberia claim to have found the remains of a 150 million-year-old dinosaur or reptile in a river.

Their boat supposedly bumped into the head of the crocodile-like rock, which was apparently confirmed by scientists to be an ancient lizard or even a dinosaur.

The discovery was made by fisherman from the Wild North Fishing Club were travelling by boat down the Ruta-Ru River in the Yamal Peninsula of northern Russia.

Their boat struck something that they initially thought was a boulder, but on closer examination had a somewhat more familiar appearance.

Paleontologists are now heading to the river in Siberia to verify the potentially significant discovery.

Club chairman Yevgeny Svitov said: ‘It was hard to miss, because the boat driven by my colleague Oleg Yushkov had bumped against it. When he looked to see what it was he found this huge head.’
He said that they photographed it and when they got back they emailed the picture to the Zoological Museum of the Institute of Plant and Animal Ecology in the city of Yekaterinburg, Russia.

Their scientists came back to them to say that they believed it was the fossilised remains of a lizard that had lived about 150 million years ago, reports The Siberian Times.

The Institute's head Pavel Kosintsev said that it was not the first report of fossil discoveries in the region but it was the first photographic evidence that the rumours were 'true'.

He said all the indications were that there is possibly a wealth of similar fossils in the area.

‘We have dispatched an expedition there to investigate the remains and secure them for future study,’ he said.

‘At this stage though it's difficult to be precise about exactly what the find shows.’

The institute is confident that the remains have significant scientific value and they are hoping to recover them before the spring thaw washes them away.

However, speaking to MailOnline other experts expressed their

 • Urban Explorer Finds The Sad Remains Of The Soviet Space Shuttle Program

Ralph Mirebs, an urban explorer and photographer in Russia, has revealed extraordinary photos of Soviet space shuttle prototypes gathering dust in an abandoned hangar in Kazakhstan.

The abandoned hangar is located at the Baikonur Cosmodrome in Kazakhstan, which is still in operation today (with the close of NASA’s shuttle program, Russian Soyuz shuttles are the only way for astronauts to reach the International Space Station). The Buran prototype shuttles found by Mirebs, however, are from an earlier era – they are the last remnants of a space program that began in 1974 and was finally shuttered in 1993. The only operational Buran shuttle, Orbiter 1K1, completed one unmanned orbital flight before it was grounded. Unfortunately, this shuttle was destroyed in a hangar collapse in 2002.

many areas of the huge Baikonur Cosmodrome are still in business today, and that it is from here that the Soyuz rockets are launched, supplying the International Space Station in supplies and crew members
• 'I had my pet cattooed': Cruel Russian owner gives helpless Coco the cat body art matching his own

Animal rights campaigners have reacted with fury after a vile pet owner decided to give his cat a tattoo matching his own.
In a disgusting stunt Timur Rimut, from Tatarsan, Russia, filmed himself permanently marking his hairless sphinx Coco with the phrase 'Carpe Diem', which is Latin for 'seize the day'.
The 24-year-old artist has the same tattoo on his chest and drew the design on the poor animal in pen before sedating her and branding the cat for life.
But to add insult to injury, it appears he misspelled the famous phrase, scrawling 'Carpe Deem' on Coco's chest instead.
'We are shocked to see these images. As a charity that cares passionately about cats and seeks to inform the public about responsible pet ownership, we do not agree with people treating pets as fashion accessories in anyway,' a spokesman for UK charity Cats Protection said.
'Animals should be anaesthetised for veterinary reasons only, not cosmetic purposes. We hope that people will realise that it is unacceptable to treat animals in this manner.'
Rimut also has a tattoo of his cat, showing the new tattoo, on his own forearm.
The video has been posted on You Tube, and attracted a flurry of angry complaints.

This is the ultimate in animal cruelty. I can't understand how an animal owner could do this to their pet. Totally sickening,' one woman said.
Another added: 'The cat doesn't give its consent to be tattooed. You rob it of its rights by forcing it asleep only so you can decorate it with what you want. Cats are not colouring books.'
But it seems that Coco is not the only Russian cat to be tattooed by its owner. Oksana Popova of Moscow tattooed the Egyptian pharaoh Tutankhamen on its chest.

A brave toddler abandoned by his mother after he suffered horrific 75 per cent burns now splashes on the beach - for his first ever holiday.

Matveiko Zakharenko - or Matthew - was being treated for jaundice when the bungling nurse left the room with a nappy covering the light therapy lamp causing it to explode.

Matthew suffered severe 75 per cent burns and 15 per cent internal organ burns that left his tiny body wrapped in bandages at the hospital in Tula, Russia, in November 2014.
She said: "This was Matveiko's first time swimming in the sea and flying on an airplane.
''He made new friends. On vacation we all learned that he was a general favorite. He loves to travel, he enjoys sitting down in a child seat car and looking out the window to watch the landscapes.
• Tiger and Goat Are best friends in Primary Zoo

An interesting story is unfolding in Primorye safari park in Russia and thousands of Internet users are watching it. It started with a regular meal that was delivered to a Siberian tiger kept in a park. His name is Amur. So one day Amur got a meal - he often gets live meals - either small rabbits or some other smaller animals, but this time park workers wanted to treat him with a live goat. However, instead of eating it Amur became best friends with an animal that was supposed to become his dinner.

Tigers of this safari park twice a week are treated with live food. Live literary - the one they can hunt down like they do in wilderness. Amur, the tiger, knows how to hunt down goats and rabbits however he preferred not to kill this particular goat because he was very brave.

More than that the zoo workers tell the story that the goat evicted the tiger from his "bedroom" and occupied it. Now the tiger sleeps outside and the goat lives inside of the tigers ex house.

Now they go for a walk together and even get fed together. The tiger never mixes up his friend with his other food he eats and always eats aside from the goat.

Thousands of Russian people watch for the updates now. They are eager to see each day what's going on with this unusual pair. So the zoo workers post updates daily now. For example now they noticed that the tiger protects the goat from people. If people approach the goat, the tiger hisses and acts aggressively. Zoo workers say that they hadn't noticed such behavior of a tiger before.

Also the workers say that each night the goat and the tiger smell each other before going to sleep.

Then each morning they both go to the big park outside for a walk. At first the tiger walks out of their place and then he waits for the goat to join him. Then they go to the park together. The zoo workers say the animals are always spending their time together.

• Tears on her wedding day: Heartbreaking pictures capture moment forlorn teenage bride was forced to marry a polygamous Chechen police chief after 'he threatened her with kidnap'

Her resplendent white dress says it's her wedding day, but the sadness etched on her face does not.
For this teenage bride has been forced to marry an ally of Chechen warlord Ramzan Kadyrov after apparently being threatened with kidnap if she did not comply.
Kheda Goilabiyeva, 17, looked despondent and at one point wept during the ceremony in the Chechen capital Grozny as the fearsome Kadyrov watched on from the crowd.
She was asked three times whether she wanted to marry 47-year-old police chief Nazhud Guchigov – who already has another wife – before finally and reluctantly responding yes.

The marriage has provoked outrage in Russia, fuelled by Moscow's child rights commissioner, Pavel Astakhov, who defended the wedding by saying that Caucasian women 'are all shrivelled with wrinkles by the age of 27'. He later apologised for his comments.
In response to the remarks, young women online have started posting selfies on Instagram with the hashtag #WrinkledWoman in which they scrunch up their faces to simulate the appearance of wrinkles. Many of the posts include sarcastic greetings to Astakhov.

The woman behind the campaign appears to be Bella Rapoport, a prominent Russian feminist writer, according to Instagram's time stamps.
The second contributor appears to be Tonia Samsonova, a popular journalist at Echo of Moscow with a large online social media following.
Within 12 hours, the hashtag has attracted more than 120 contributions.

Kadyrov, who has ruled Chechnya with an iron fist since being installed by Russian President Vladimir Putin in 2007, was said to have given his personal blessing for the marriage in apparent violation of Russian laws against polygamy.

She said: "This was Matveiko's first time swimming in the sea and flying on an airplane.

''He made new friends. On vacation we all learned that he was a general favorite. He loves to travel, he enjoys sitting down in a child seat car and looking out the window to watch the landscapes.

''We have consulted different specialists and the forecasts give him good health and los of hope for his rehabilitation. All planned operations will begin in the autumn next year. He is the most beautiful, most intelligent boy you could wish for.

A Russian bodybuilder has travelled to the top of the highest mountain in Europe and Russia - Mount Elbrus. He didn't travel alone. He took his favorite 75 kilo (or around 150 lbs) barbell together with him on his shoulders. It took him eight days to reach the height of 5,642 meters (18,510 feet)! He got severely burned and was tired but still went forward and on September 6th he reached his goal. A few photos are inside.

The procession then carried on to a restaurant, where Kadyrov was present and celebrated with traditional dan
