• Great White tries to attack Motor on Back of Boat

Approximately eight kilometers off the coast of Gansbaai, quite close to Dyer Iceland / South Africa, a great white shark tried to attack the outboard motor of our boat.

The touch-sensitive area of the nose of the shark has unusual consequences: The shark opens its mouth and is relatively far from the water. In slow motion, it remains for a moment, then again to return back to his element ..
• Terrifying helicopter footage shows 3metre Great White shark swimming 'close enough for surfers to pat' off the coast of Ballina

Terrifying images from a patrol helicopter has revealed the outline of HUGE shark resting just below the surf, clearing more than 10 surfers from the water.
The 3-metre-long great white shark was spotted off the coast of Boulder Beach, Ballina, in New South Wales at about 10.30 am.
The shark was described as ‘close enough to pat,’

‘An excellent result today is an understatement. These photos do not do the situation justice as when we first spotted this shark it was in the line-up with 10 plus surfers.’
A signal was sent out and Boulder beach was cleared immediately in response to the shark alert.
‘The shark continued to swim south towards Flat Rock Beach, where helicopters continued to monitor its movements,’ continued the post.
New South Wales has been ranked the top state with 128 shark related fatalities with 457 people attacked.

Figures have shown 95 percent of those attacked and killed in Australia-wide have been men, as predicted from data collected by the Shark Research Institute since 1788.
Two fatalities have been recorded this year when last reviewed in late September.
In a similar incident near a Beach in Byron Bay another shark was spotted on Saturday morning.
This shark did not pose a threat and beach-goers continued to enjoy the warm spring weather.
Terrifying: The shot of the great white taken on a GoPro

Jaws wide open, lips pulled back and razor sharp teeth on show - this extreme close-up photograph of a great white shark might just be the best of its kind EVER.

And perhaps even more shocking, it was captured by an amateur snapper.

Art teacher Amanda Brewer, 25, captured the unbelievable moment while working as a volunteer for White Shark Africa - a charity which works with animal conservationists and eco-tourists.

The primary school teacher, from New Jersey, travelled to South Africa to get up-close and personal with great whites in their natural habitat.

But she never realised she would be getting quite so near to the colossal creatures.
Amanda Brewer is not only a shark conversationist but also a Go pro photograoher of these stunning animals, these images taken in Mossel Bay, South Africa with an eco tourism company called White Shark Africa and feature juvenile great white sharks. Amanda says " Many of the sharks seen in the photos and videos are regulars around seal island and we know them well", The female shark seen breaching out of the water is named "Blackgill", and is easily the most impressive shark we've ever met. (Sharkservation) which takes and shares these photos to get people interested in learning about sharks in hopes that we can protect them. On average, 100,000,000 sharks are being killed every single year for profit. This is an unsustainable rate and we see extinction in the near future for many large species of shark if nothing is done soon. In my time with the white shark I've learned that they each have an individual and distinct personality and they are far more intelligent than we give them credit for. I have a life long passion for these animals and I hope to play a role in securing their well deserved, perfectly evolved, presence here on earth.
• Is this the biggest Great White ever? Swimmers are evacuated from a popular diving spot just 100metres from the beach after a huge SEVEN metre shark is spotted

A seven-metre great white shark has been spotted off Adelaide's coast by a helicopter patrol.
The shark was seen 100metres offshore at the Marino Rocks on Sunday afternoon, a Shark Alerts South Australia Facebook post says.
Nearby Nippers events were cancelled and swimmers evacuated from the water.
'It's the biggest I've ever seen as a crew member in the Westpac chopper. We put it down as 7m the photo really doesn't do it justice,' an unnamed crew member wrote.
It is possible for Great White Sharks to grow bigger than six-metres – the largest Great White ever verified, shark expert Andrew Fox said
It is more likely though that the supposed seven-metre shark seen on Sunday afternoon was a victim of what he calls the 'exaggeration effect,' he said.
'Honestly, a five-metre shark is an absolute giant and it looks twice as big – you can only imagine what a six-metre shark does to people's perceptions.'

The person who observed the Great White near Adelaide is quite experienced, which has given the sighting some credibility, but you can only verify its actual length when it's measured, Mr Fox said.
The pictures posted caused a stir on social media, with some swearing never to step foot in the ocean again, and others arguing the great white was unlikely to be that large and labelling the sighting a 'fisherman's tale'.
'I wanna swear in terror but this is a family page so I won't and I bite my tongue,' one kayaker wrote.
'Bugger that, they can have the water, I will stay on shore,' one frightened man posted.
Kilo Of Cocaine Caught On Chartered Fishing Trip

Captain Mark Quartiano (aka Mark the Shark) caught a different type of great white when he hauled in a kilo of cocaine while fishing 2 miles off the Miami coast easier this week.

While chartering students on a fishing trip from the University of Miami, Mark noticed something floating in the water. Once they brought it onboard it didn’t take Mark – who is retired law enforcement – long to realize what they had found.

“Lo and behold, it was one of those square grouper,” Quartiano said.

This is the first time in four decades on the water that he’s ever made a catch like this.
